The coastal waters around Uran form part of the larger Mumbai harbour and contain tidal creeks, mangroves, islands and busy maritime routes. The landscape provides an interesting perspective on the interaction between Raigad's coastal environment, Navi Mumbai and Mumbai's harbour.
