Poladpur is a southern Raigad taluka located along the Mumbai-Goa highway at the foothills of the Sahyadri mountains. Its location makes it an important gateway between the Konkan coast and the Western Ghats and provides access toward Mahad, Pratapgad and Mahabaleshwar.
