The Pinjal River flows through the hilly and forested interior of Palghar district and forms part of the natural landscape around Vikramgad. Its seasonal streams, green banks and surrounding villages become particularly scenic during the monsoon. Religious destinations including the Gorakshnath Mahadev Temple are located along or near the river landscape.
