Papadkhandi Dam is situated at the foothills of Jivdani Hill near Virar. The reservoir was historically an important source of fresh water for the area and forms a natural complement to the Jivdani Temple and hill landscape. The surrounding area provides an urban-rural nature experience close to Virar.
