Mormugao Fort was an important Portuguese-era coastal fortification built to protect the strategic Mormugao harbor. Although only portions of the historic fortification remain, the site is significant for understanding Goa's maritime defense history and provides scenic views over the Arabian Sea and surrounding coastline.
