Jawhar Fort Remains

The historic fort area of Jawhar contains remnants of the former fortifications and the old palace associated with the Mukne rulers. Surviving entrances, towers, walls and other remains reflect the former importance of Jawhar as a princely state. The site is particularly valuable for understanding the history of the Mahadev Koli royal dynasty and the development of the hill town.
