Areca nut plantations are found throughout the fertile and humid parts of the Dapoli countryside. Tall areca palms grow alongside coconut, mango and cashew trees, creating a distinctive layered tropical landscape. These plantations provide an interesting view into the traditional agricultural systems of coastal Konkan.
