Dabhol Ancient Port

Dabhol has a long maritime history and was an important port on the Konkan coast. Its strategic position at the Vashishti River mouth connected the region with maritime trade routes. Remnants of the historic settlement and surrounding religious and cultural sites reflect this long history.
