Cotigao is a forested region in southern Goa and an important destination for nature tourism. The area is best known for Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Goa's oldest protected forest areas. Dense vegetation, tall trees, streams and wildlife habitats make the region attractive for birdwatching, nature walks and eco-tourism.
