Airoli is a major northern node of Navi Mumbai situated beside Thane Creek and close to the city of Thane. The area combines residential neighbourhoods, business parks, educational institutions, gardens and extensive coastal wetland landscapes. Airoli is also an important gateway to the Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary region.
